The very first idea

Nemo’s path is strictly linked to the history of the Italian Design of the last twenty years.

Nemo was founded in 1993 by Franco Cassina, owner of Cassina S.p.A. and by Carlo Forcolini, that felt the need of a project based on innovation, rooting in the tradition that inspired the Italian design.

Thanks to various products that became icons of the Italian design, Nemo has gained a leading position in the lighting design world.
